It was in 2009 in a hospitality conference that Inn Keepers from the Mid-Atlantic region were first introduced to Howard Helmer, the worlds fastest omelet maker. At this conference Howard Helmer, representing the American Egg Council, demonstrated his skill and then the Inn Keepers made their own omelets in the hotel dining room for breakfast.
